Flat Screen Mounts, AV Furniture, Stands & Trolleys Sales & Consultancy
We were contacted by a customer today asking us to reimburse £20 that she needed to pay the above company to release a parcel to her, as she was only expecting a delivery from ourselves, she assumed it was the parcel we had sent-out to her.
The lady had received a text to her mobile phone showing a link to the above website along with a ‘claim’ number. When she followed the link and entered her ‘claim’ number she was informed that there was £20 required to allow the parcel to be released.
As all our parcels are sent by TNT, City-Link and the Royal Mail and all from inside the UK, we were a little confused.
We checked this site out ourselves and we are just not convinced that this is a real site.
We just think that there are enough issues with this to advise people to be very careful and to treat any texts received with caution. If you’re about to hand over your card details to pay this £20, please do your own checks first, please do what we did, google :-
It’s a newly registered domain, but claims to have been set-up in 2010.
The contact telephone number does not work correctly.
The contact page layout is wrong.
The address is only given as the World Cargo Centre, Airport Cargo, Birmingham B26 3QN
When the customer entered the ‘claim number’ there were no details of her address or name or no sender’s information. The information received just listed the mobile telephone number.
All we’re advising is for people to be careful, if you’re not 100% sure, please do not pay any money until you are sure.
